Why the confusion?

i think what many keep missing, almost everything that was taught in the beginning was done face to face. all we have is an extremely small portion of what Paul and the other apostles taught. all we have are a few letters, primarily dealing with issues that had come to their attention. what they actually taught as doctrine would have been Torah. ... even the gentiles would have been taught from Torah. there was NOT a new testament to teach from.
