Be as Yeshua

We ought to be like Yeshua and love righteousness and hate iniquity

*[[Heb 1:9]] KJV* Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.

What is righteousness though?

*[[Deu 6:24-25]] KJV* And YHVH commanded us to do all these statutes, to fear YHVH our God, for our good always, that he might preserve us alive, as it is at this day. And it shall be our righteousness, if we observe to do all these commandments before YHVH our God, as he hath commanded us.

Which covenant is the everlasting covenant

Which covenant is the everlasting covenant?
*[[Heb 13:20]] KJV* Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant,

What is the everlasting covenant broken here?
*[[Isa 24:5]] KJV* The earth also is defiled under the inhabitants thereof; because they have transgressed the laws, changed the ordinance, broken the everlasting covenant.

Everlasting means
without beginning and end, that which always has been and always will be

So, which covenant is everlasting but broken by Israel of old and is a blood covenant?

This is that blood covenant
*[[Gen 17:1]] KJV* And when Abram was ninety years old and nine, the LORD appeared to Abram, and said unto him, I am the Almighty God; walk before me, and be thou perfect.

The blood coming from circumcision which was the token of that covenant
*[[Gen 17:7]] KJV* And I will establish my covenant between me and thee and thy seed after thee in their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be a God unto thee, and to thy seed after thee.

What does it mean to walk before YHVH?

*[[Deu 13:4]] KJV* Ye shall walk after the LORD your God, and fear him, and keep his commandments, and obey his voice, and ye shall serve him, and cleave unto him.

Just as Abraham did

*[[Gen 26:5]] KJV* Because that Abraham obeyed my voice, and kept my charge, my commandments, my statutes, and my laws.

What does YHVH require of all that are called by His name

What does YHVH require of all that are called by His name?

*[[Deu 10:12-13]] KJV* And now, Israel, what doth YHVH thy God require of thee, but to fear YHVH thy God, to walk in all his ways, and to love him, and to serve YHVH thy God with all thy heart and with all thy soul, To keep the commandments of YHVH, and his statutes, which I command thee this day for thy good?

The reprobate mind

Where ever we read Moses speaking to the people he is telling them the instructions of YHVH as His prophet
*[[Deu 15:5]] KJV* Only if thou carefully hearken unto the voice of YHVH thy God, to observe to do all these commandments which I command thee this day.
If you try to distance yourself from certain portions because they don't agree with your doctrine then we have nothing in common and you are of a reprobate mind

Abraham's faith

Abram was faithful and YHVH counted it as righteousness

*[[Gen 15:6]] KJV* And he believed (aman) in YHVH; and he counted it to him for righteousness.

Abraham was righteous because he was faithful in keeping the laws statutes and commandments of YHVH
*[[Gen 26:5]] KJV* Because that Abraham obeyed my voice, and kept my charge, my commandments, my statutes, and my laws

James ties it all together in context

*[[Rom 4:3]] KJV* For what saith the scripture? Abraham believed (was faithful to) God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness.

*[[Gal 3:6-7]] KJV* Even as Abraham believed (was faithful to) God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness. Know ye therefore that they which are (faithful) of faith, the same are the children of Abraham.

*[[Jas 2:23-24]] KJV* And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed (was faithful to) God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God. Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only.

Who are the dogs outside the city? Rev 22:14-15

The city of YHVH comes to the new earth.
Hell and death are destroyed.
The devil and all that followed them are gone.
Who then are the dogs outside the city?
*[[Rev 22:14-15]] KJV* Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city. For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.

What is salvation?
Isn't it being saved from hell?
But the kingdom is the inheritance of those who hear and OBEY.

There seems (at least from what I'm seeing) to be a promise of "salvation" to the seed of Abraham, and to anyone that claims Yeshua or Jesus as Lord or master.
But there is also a difference between being "saved" from hell, and inheriting the kingdom of YHVH

*[[Mat 7:22-27]] KJV* Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock. And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.

I want more than just being saved from eternal torment in hell, I want to inherit the kingdom of YHVH

Enjoying life through the Law

YHWH provided the Laws as a blessing, not a curse. We are given directions on how to live in health, instructions on how He expects to be worshiped, what His definition is of loving our brother. Even how to treat our enemies.

Those who obey the directions He provided, will enjoy life fuller, and will learn to respect his fellow man and the earth he lives on.

To ignore the Law, mankind lives in disharmony with the world, mankind, and nature. He lives in discord with YHWH Himself.

Shabbat, what to do?

Shabbat Shalom.

May the day set aside by our creator be a blessing to you, and not a curse.
Remember, He knows the heart, and sees the motivations behind what we do.
The Shabbat or Sabbath, is given to us as a gift, a day to celebrate life, and enjoy what He has given to us.
It is a day to relax, to take a break from our daily pursuit of providing for ourselves.

So, what shall we do then, on Shabbat?
Reading an enjoyable book, do some relaxing gardening, play a musical instrument for fun and relaxation, meditate, take a leisurely walk, write poetry, spend time with friends, sleep, eat, have sex

What then should we not do on Shabbat?
Work.
The question then, what is work, or melacha?
melacha is something that a person does as a means to an end rather than as an end in and of itself.
Therefore, melacha can correctly be translated as "necessary work" or "necessary tasks".

Harvesting one's field because the wheat needs to go to market soon, going to work to make money, jogging to lose weight, walking 3 hours in the heat to get to your mother's house, painting the house because it hasn't had a fresh paint job in years, reading a book because you have a paper due on it on Monday

This is how YHWH describes Israel through Moses

This is how YHWH describes Israel through Moses

Deuteronomy 1: 12 "But you burdensome, bothersome and quarrelsome!

Deuteronomy 1: 26 "But you would not go up. Instead you rebelled against the order of ADONAI your God; 27 and in your tents you complained, 'It's because ADONAI hated us that he has brought us out of the land of Egypt, only to hand us over to the Emori to destroy us. 28 What sort of place is it that we're heading for? Our brothers made our courage fail when they said, "The people are bigger and taller than we are; the cities are great and fortified up to the sky; and finally, we have seen 'Anakim there."'

29 "I answered you, 'Don't be fearful, don't be afraid of them. 30 ADONAI your God, who is going ahead of you, will fight on your behalf, just as he accomplished all those things for you in Egypt before your eyes, 31 and likewise in the desert, where you saw how ADONAI your God carried you, like a man carries his child, along the entire way you traveled until you arrived at this place. 32 Yet in this matter you don't trust ADONAI your God, 33 even though he went ahead of you, seeking out places for you to pitch your tents and showing you which way to go, by fire at night and by a cloud during the day.'

34 "ADONAI heard what you were saying, became angry and swore, 35 'Not a single one of these people, this whole evil generation, will see the good land I swore to give to your ancestors, 36 except Kalev the son of Y'funeh -he will see it; I will give him and his descendants the land he walked on, because he has fully followed ADONAI.' 37 "Also, because of you ADONAI was angry with me and said, 'You too will not go in there. 38 Y'hoshua the son of Nun, your assistant -he will go in there. So encourage him, because he will enable Isra'el to take possession of it. 39 Moreover, your little ones, who you said would be taken as booty, and your children who don't yet know good from bad -they will go in there; I will give it to them, and they will have possession of it. 40 But as for yourselves, turn around and head into the desert by the road to the Sea of Suf.'

41 "Then you answered me, 'We have sinned against ADONAI. Now we will go up and fight, in accordance with everything ADONAI our God ordered us.'And every man among you put on his arms, considering it an easy matter to go up into the hill-country. 42 But ADONAI said to me, 'Tell them, "Don't go up, and don't fight, because I am not there with you; if you do, your enemies will defeat you."' 43 So I told you, but you wouldn't listen. Instead, you rebelled against ADONAI's order, took matters into your own hands and went up into the hill-country; 44 where the Emori living in that hill-country came out against you like bees, defeated you in Se'ir and chased you back all the way to Hormah. 45 You returned and cried before ADONAI, but ADONAI neither listened to what you said nor paid you any attention.

Time of the tares

Tear down your high places, destroy your idols, and fall on your faces before YHWH, the awesome terrible elohiym of Israel in utter repentance. Seek His face, and He will meet with you. Turn from your abominations, and purify yourselves, for the great and terrible Day of YHWH is at hand, YHWH will judge with righteous indignation. His fury will burn as the fires of Gomorrah. His smoke will rise like Sodom, He will destroy all those that Hate Him. Stand fast on the truth, place your feet firmly on Torah. For He will tear the foundation of lies and deception from beneath this people. A people that worship from afar. That speak platitudes and dainty words, but whose hearts are vile and polluted before Him. Prepare yourselves for the Day of turbulence. But not with gold that is ruined, or with meats that are spoiled. Prepare instead your hearts. YHWH will provide. You will either sleep with your fathers and await the Day, or you will suffer torment and shame, for YHWH, A great harvest is at hand. A harvest the angels have waited and prepared for. It's the time of tares. The fields have been gleaned, the bundles prepared. The Sabbath of YHWH is near. It's time to burn the chaff and destroy the tares. Only a little wheat remains,
